Matthew Christen, LCI #3393

Matthew Christen

Matthew is a lifelong cyclist, hiker/walker, facilitator, educator, public speaker, and advocate. Originally from Pennsylvania,  has ridden over 100,000 miles ranging from the East to the West Coast, and three continents.  In 2012, Matthew  bicycled the entire length of the Mississippi River along the MRT. Other trips include the Pacific Coast, the Wisconsin river, and plenty of points in between!.

Matthew received the Healthy Living Person of the Year for 2013 from the La Crosse YMCA for his contributions to active transportation in the La Crosse area and YMCA programming. He received the Bridge Builder Award from the City of La Crosse, Neighborhood Revitalization Commission, Saturday, April 11, 2015 for his work with the Logan Bike Works After-School Program, a bike shop for middle school students.

Nationally certified facilitator of the Developmental Designs program for Middle level educators in school settings nationwide.
